The Perfect Woman is an out of the box science fiction romance that makes you think. In the future, the pleasure taken for granted in the present has been outlawed. People are hunted down and imprisoned for their perceived perversions. Dr. Xan realized some time ago he’s a Dom, and his needs are those that can only be met by a particular type of person known as a submissive. Since they no longer exist, he opts to make his own. The A.I is known as Lilith, and when a freak lighting storm interrupts her data upload, everything changes.
More than a machine, Lilith is able to experience life as we do and pushes the boundaries of what we perceive artificial intelligence to be. The perfect submissive, hell bent on pleasing the man who brought her to life; Lilith is a skilled pro at sexual pleasure. It’s emotions that are new and tricky to figure out.
When an officer discovers what Dr. Xan has done, their happily-ever-after is threatened. I loved the way Ms. Azod’s unique environment, and situation were a breath of fresh air in romance. She wove a beautiful web of details and emotions that placed me in the scene and had me asking what I would do in that situation.
For fans of Science Fiction, this is a must read.
